Effect & Properties

Our Litsea organic oil is ideal for hectic and stressed times, to provide you with relaxation and serenity in the shortest possible time, so that you can quickly gather new strength and energy to cope with your tasks. As a room fragrance, the essential Litsea oil in normal doses can have a refreshing, concentration-enhancing and stimulating effect without causing excitement. In small doses, for example as a room spray or on a fragrance stone, it can have a calming, relaxing anti-stress effect and alleviate inner restlessness or insomnia. With its air-purifying, runny properties, Litsea Oil is an ideal room scenting oil when you're longing for a relaxing break. Our essential oil not only helps the soul, but also the body Aromatherapy due to its numerous health-promoting properties. Among other things, this oil is said to be antibacterial, antiviral, anti-asthmatic and gastric. The Litsea cubeba plant is particularly well known in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), where these health-promoting properties are used to treat colds, asthma and, above all, upset stomachs.

Origin Litsea - Litsea Cubeca - Indonesia

The plant Litseacubeba , also known as May Chang, is part of the genus Litsea (Laurus) and belongs to the laurel family (Lauraceae). The small tropical tree originally comes from China, Indonesia and Taiwan and is now planted in East Asia and Japan. The evergreen shrub or tree grows up to 12 meters high. In the meantime, the plant has spread over the entire Mediterranean region and Northwest America. Inflorescences develop at the ends of the branches, which bear white or yellowish flowers that smell of lemons, from which small reddish-colored fruits develop that are reminiscent of peppercorns. The plant is used worldwide as a natural source of citral, a component of our essential oil.
